How To Save Up To $20,000 In Solar Panel Setup Costs…

Becoming aware of the rising, already-expensive energy costs and want to look into solar power? An environmentally friendly way of saving some money on your power bill – it’s the way of the future that everyone is slowly moving into…
Unfortunately, any contractor that specializes in building/installation of solar panels costs an average of $20,000, which can take a good 10-20 years to pay off after… So if you’re on reading this article, you’re here to learn how to build YOUR OWN solar panels!
Every year when I go camping, I use my loud and buzzzzing generator for power… it totally kills the “sounds of nature” aspect of camping. So this year was the year I had decided to generate power by solar cell… which is when I was faced with the outrageous prices for the first time…
Like you, I started Googling around to see how much cheaper it would be to build my own solar panel… and the one guide that kept popping up on forums and review sites was Earth4Energy. The problem was that I couldn’t find any real reviews on this guide – all of them were either really salesy, or just didn’t explain anything about it…
There were so many satisfied customer testimonials on the Earth4Energy site itself – that I just bit the bullet and bought the Earth4Energy guide, hoping to figure out if I could learn to make solar panels without having to sell my pants… (And I don’t even own $20,000 worth of pants…)
I decided that after I had built my solar panel using Earth4Energy – I’d do some street justice and write a REAL review on whether Earth4Energy is a guide that truly teaches someone with no electrical experience how to build and wire real solar panels…
Just before you read my results – understand that this isn’t the ACTUAL Earth4Energy website, just a review from a guy who doesn’t want to get robbed by contractors.

Materials and Costs

The most appealing Earth4Energy claim was that I’d be able to spend less than $200 on materials per panel (so that’s like 10x cheaper than if you were to order installation of the same 10 panels)… it was time to put the big promise to the test!
The main guide explained where to buy the materials, and luckily I didn’t need to go far – I found all the materials in the 2 hardware/industrial stores in my area…
When I counted up my receipts back at home, they added up to $157.83… Which was indeed less than $200 for all the materials I needed to start building my solar panel, as promised!
It was starting to look like I was on my way to outsmarting the EVIL solar-panel installation people who prey on people like me and you for crazy amounts of money…

Building process

It was time to build the panels – and it was here that the Earth4Energy guide was going to be put to the true test… I mean I can swing a hammer like every other guy, but the idea of building and wiring an ENTIRE solar panel is a little overwhelming by comparison…
The main Earth4Energy guide went on to explain WHY each component of the solar panel is needed (which really helped me understand the building process ultimately since I knew why each component was important) – and after the main guide, I got a dozen blueprints for different size/type solar panels to select from, each with step-by-step instructions that covered everything including building the foundation, attaching the panels, wiring, etc.
It took me about 3 hours to put the first solar panel together… and this is how it turned out!

Pros of Earth4Energy

  • The panels materials cost less than $200 per panel, and only about an hour to build (when you’ve gotten a hang of the process – first time took me about 3 hours)…
  • The main guide and the instruction blueprints are VERY organized and easy to follow (If you feel like building an entire solar panel sounds like a hardcore project at first – I felt like that too, but the guide really breaks who process down into simple steps…)
  • You can EVEN make a side business out of building and selling these solar panels over eBay! (Seriously, just go to eBay and search for ‘solar panels’ – these guys are cashing in and creating real home businesses out of this!)

Cons of Earth4Energy

  • Unfortunately, you still have to build and install the panel for yourself. If you’re not a person who enjoys ‘do-it-yourself’ projects, than this might not be for you. (But you might need to have the crazy money to give away to the contractors because your ONLY other alternative is to order them, right?)

Would I Recommend Earth4Energy to my Mother?

Honestly – if I was comfortable with watching my 58-year-old mother swing a hammer, and she was looking to save money on her power bill through solar power – I’d definitely recommend the Earth4Energy guide to her for clear and detailed instructions on building/installing solar panels…
Realistically though… Earth4Energy is best suited for anyone who doesn’t want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on overpriced contractors, loves do-it-yourself projects, or even wants to start a small business building and selling solar panels… I know that if I can build one of these panels without any trouble – anyone can do it!
