Why Women Care Less About Looks |
It is a myth to suggest that women only go for good-looking guys, or looks are the main factor when it comes to attraction. The truth is, women care a lot less about looks than men do. The simple reason for this is because they are different in terms of what they find attractive. If you are not such a good-looking guy then this is great news because you can still attract the women of your dreams.
• According to a recent study conducted by Dr. Randy Thornhill of the University of New Mexico, the guy’s total symmetry in dealing with sex is the most obvious reason why women are less attracted to looks than men are these days. Thornhill stressed in his study that when a women prefers a seemingly perfect symmetrical partner, chances are the sex life with boost more as they deal with perturbations.
• Most women believe that a guy with fewer good looks has the heart of a gentle and caring person. Another obvious reason why women care less about looks than men is because they tend to be after what the guy can prove more than just looks. The woman’s desire for a long-term relationship also helps a lot in preferring the “inside” qualities of a guy.
• A lot of women nowadays believe that less attractive guys are less of a womanizer. However, this belief can be surreal in many ways, so it will all depend on the woman’s perspective in dating or going out with the guy.
• Some studies also show that women are more into men’s smell than looks. The factor is often seen in many advertisements of men’s perfumes, wherein a woman find them more desirable when she smells the guy. Thornhill’s study in 2002 showed that about 60 – 70% of women prefer the guy’s natural scent, which tends to identify his worth in catching attention.
• A lot of women feel secured when being with less handsome men these days. Most repellent guys have the qualities of the proverbial “Mr. Right” every girl would love to be with. What makes the guy “handsome” in the eyes of a girl is seen throughout how he treats her with genuine care, sincerity, respect and courtesy.
